LONG WEEKEND TRIPS: RIFT VALLEY
The Rift Valley is an excellent place to go for a long weekend. Just a few hours drive from Nairobi, the area offers a wide range of activities. Visit wonderful Lake Naivasha, trek up Mount Suswa or Mount Longonot, go to the Rift Valley view points and cycle through Hell's Gate National Park.
Long weekend trips: Mombasa beach
With white sandy beaches and plenty of activites for the whole family, Mombasa has a wide appeal. Take a stroll along the beach, go for a camel ride or have a swim in the clear water. You might also enjoy taking kite or windsurfing lessons or how about going snorkeling in the colorful marine parks?
Long weekend trips: Lake Victoria
In the far western part of Kenya, you have the chance to explore one of Africa's great lakes, Lake Victoria. Going on a boat cruise here is an excellent way to relax and enjoy the wide variety of bird and wildlife. You can also go on a fishing trips and maybe even catch one of the famous Nile perch.
