Volunteer in Kenya

In collaboration with Moving Mountains Kenya, we organise volunteer placements in Kenya for groups and individuals. Depending on your skills, interests and time frame as well as the needs of the communities we work with, there are usually a number of projects you can get involved in. These could include annual medical camps and medical electives which are tailor-made to suit your needs. building and renovation projects, teaching or skills transfer programmes.

Volunteer in Kenya: SCHOOL & UNIVERSITY GROUPS

Every year we organise trips for students who want to get involved with community work on our school expeditions in Kenya. Working together on specific projects is highly rewarding and a great learning experience for everyone involved. These trips facilitate an exchange of knowledge, ideas and values across countries and cultures, which helps generate mutual understanding and trust.

Groups usually choose to combine their volunteer work with a safari trip or a physical challenge such as climbing Mount Kenya or Kilimanjaro. This further builds team spirit and adds another dimension to the whole experience.

Volunteer in kenya: TEACHING PLACEMENTS & Adult skills transfer programmes

We work together with several schools in Embu and in Western Kenya to allow volunteering in Kenya teaching non-examinable subjects such as drama, sports and art. Other after-school activities (book clubs, homework clubs, football training etc) are also welcomed. When working with children, we encourage you to stay for at least a full school term of 3 months in order to give the students a consistent learning period.

You can also get involved with our adult skills transfer programmes, teaching subjects such as IT, office management,´and project management. These placements can be as little as two weeks.
